    Damascus

    Damascus

The top 5 budget travel destinations are argued, but there is no arguement that these are five of the best places you can visit in midst of rising prices.

    1. Bangladesh
Bangladesh is one of the cheapest places to travel in the world. You can get great meals for a very cheap price (below $1) and hotel rooms are also inexpensive. Sunderbans National Park is the must visit place in Bangladesh, you will pay around $150 for a tiger viewing tour in this park, but the price is still cheaper than other places such as India.

    2. Nicaragua
Nicaragua is a place where a traveler can spend his or her day for only about $15. You also find hammock-hanging opportunities on the Corn Islands, volcano trekking on Isla de Ometepe, and bar hopping in Leon and Granada. The only expensive thing in this place is paying the departure tax which is $32.

    3. Washington DC, US
Though the United States is one of the most expensive places to visit, Washington DC is less expensive when compared with other places. You can get a free entrance for the Lincoln Memorial, the National Air and Space Museum, the Capitol, the Library of Congress, the White House, and the State Department. This place is full of iconic things and only few of them ask for entrance fee.

    4. Paris, France
We all know that Paris is an expensive place to visit, but there are ways to do Paris cheap and if you are smart, anyone can afford a Paris trip. Staying may not be cheap, but eating can be made much cheaper. You will find a boulangerie in every neighborhood where you can buy a freshly baked baguette. The next step is to buy a hunk of cheese and grab a bottle wine at the end of the day. Just go and sit on the banks of Seine opposite to Notre Dame and this will be not only the best but also the cheapest meal you will find in Paris.

    5. Syria
Syria is an excellent value place to visit, you can get tasty kebabs, falafel, and the best coffee on the streets and all of these are available for just some small change. You can find guest houses to stay in within the price of $20-$50 and the ride between Aleppo and Damascus will not even cost you $5.

The truth is that you can find budget places and trips in just about every country of the world, but you can also spend the GDP of a small country in one of the poorest countries in the world if you aren’t careful. The key is to use your head.

As you can see from this list, both Paris and Washington D.C. can be great budget destinations, but if you ask most people, they would only think they were top dollar picks. The difference is in how you think about things. Make sure that you don’t fall into the trap of paying rich tourist prices on your backpacker budget trip and you will see much more of the world.
