andra88 in Amazing Places | NO COMMENTSThe most beautiful island paradises you have to see before you die
Whether we’re talking about an occasional traveler or a seasoned one, I’m fairly sure that one thing they have in common is the wish to visit an island paradise, just like those seen in the movies or on postcards. You might think that what you see on the big screen or in images seems to be too good to be true, but believe me, once you visit one of these amazing places, you’ll know for sure that paradise does indeed exist on this planet.
I’m talking about real like island paradises, places where you feel like you could spend the rest of your life lounging on the soft sand under the shade of palm trees, drinking coconut milk and simply enjoying life. Here are a few of these paradises that you should visit before you die (and possibly end up in Paradise).
Aruba
aAruba is located in the Lesser Antilles, in the south of the Caribbean sea, where life seems to be a lot sweeter than in any other place on earth. At the first sight, you could think that you’re in a alternate reality New York, where the weather is warmer and people are more relaxed, but if you dare to venture towards the centre of the island, you’ll discover that there’s much more to Aruba than beach resort.
Aruba is rugged, windswept and beautiful, with long stretches of abandoned beaches, an edgier version of one of those proverbial deserted islands you wouldn’t mind getting stranded on.
Bora-Bora, French Polinesia
When you think ‘island paradise’, you can’t help but think Bora-Bora, home to some of the most luxurious beach resorts in the world. If this is the sort of thing you are looking for, then you’re set, but there’s also another side to this beautiful island, far from the five-star hotels and upscale beach bars.
Despite being notoriously expensive, there are lots of activities that you can do in Bora Bora without parting from your life savings. Renting a jeep and just wandering around the island can be just as fulfilling as lounging on the beach, and although accommodation is mostly very expensive, you can find reasonably priced places far from the usual high-class tourist haunts.
The Seychelles
Seychelles has the advantage of being an archipelago of over a hundred islands, so you can choose one that you like for your paradise island adventure. The best part is that you can really find beaches that are uncrowded, and even completely deserted (definitely not because they lack charm).
The best way to discover the hidden gems (meaning beaches that are not usually known to all travelers) is to simply hike along the coast and take in the beautiful scenery.

If the Seychelles sparked your interest, then you’re surely going to want to see at least some parts of Fiji, a nation which has more than 330 islands. It’s easy to go back and forth between the island by ferry (usually there are daily trips), and you’re not forced to stick only to the larger islands.
The Yasawa Islands are great for island hopping, and so are the Mamanuca islands. Kadavu is great if you want to see a traditional South-Pacific island, and that means that there’s limited phone and internet access, so there’s little entertainment from the ‘modern’ world, and you can focus on the sheer beauty of the place.
